3. Rosehip Seed Oil ~

Rosehip Seed Oil ~ Rosa mosqueta-rubirosa - Expressed from the seeds

Researchers in Chile have found a natural oil that provides beneficial effects to the skin. It is the oil extracted from the seeds of the rose bush that grows wild in the south of Chile, a cool and very rainy mountain region.

The oil pressed off the Rosehip seed contains an amazing 77% fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic). Fatty acids have a very important functions in the regeneration of skin cells and repair of damaged tissues.

Extensive clinical work has been conducted over the years, Rosehip Oil has been shown to:

- retard the signs of premature aging
- provide excellent results in the treatment of burns, scars and unsightly spots on skin.

If applied consistently during two or three months Rosehip was found to:

- reduce wrinkles and signs of premature aging.
- help counter the drying effects of the sun which are usually first noticed in fine wrinkles or 'crows feet' around the eyes and mouth.
- attenuate scars (surgical and accidental) and improves the color of same.
- also, avoids the formation of the keloid type of scar (lump) which may appear after a surgical procedures.
- provide excellent results in treatment of skin that has been burnt or exposed to radiotherapy.

Rosehip Oil is massaged into the affected area with fingertips until completely absorbed. You can add 10% to other base oils and add essential oils to it as well.

SunRose is happy to announce that we have found a source in Chile that has certified organic. It should be shipping in by mid to end of January 2003.

Hopefully, we will have it on sale by early February.

5. Happy New Year ~ 2003

What's that saying.. out with the old in with the new.. We see the old dying year represented by the old man with a long white beard carrying a scythe, symbolic of death, while the new year is seen as a new born child.

Traditionally, people would gather, shedding all inhibitions to await that one mystical moment, the 'witching hour', that stoke of midnight that is neither the old year nor the new. That magical 'time that is not a time'.

This has been the first full year of the SunRose eNewsletter. We hope that you have enjoyed it.

A big thank you to all my colleagues that so generously gave of their time to write articles & to share their aromatic experiences.

A very special thank you to Kim Baron, our web designer, working with you Kim has been wonderful - having a website is now painless.

Emails from our clients asking questions that kept me busy doing research and at the same time learning as well. Requests for those rare and exotic natural perfumer materials. Finding the sources and getting the samples is a joy for me.

The phone visits and emails from our aromatic family .. getting to know each one of you.. sharing everyday lives.

The laughter and the tears that we shared together. Encouraging each other or just listening when really that was all that was needed.

Thank you to all ..
For your loyalty and support.
For the challenges that kept me on my toes.
The wonderful emails when you received
an oil that you just couldn't wait to sniff ~!

To my family & friend for your support and encouragement during the year.

Wishing all of you .. A magical New Year! Filled with good health, inner peace, much love and wonderful adventures.!

~ til next time
