3. Article ~ OVERVIEW OF CANADA'S 
NATURAL HEALTH PRODUCTS REGULATIONS

Thought this was an interesting article about our 
neighbors to the North. 

After many years in the works, Canada's regulations for
Natural Health Products were finally published. Herbal
remedies, homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals,
traditional medicines, probiotics, amino acids and essential
fatty acids will need special product licenses beginning in
2004.  Once licensed, it will be legal for a natural health
product to make health claims.

4.  Profile ~ Bitter Orange Brazil

Bitter Orange
Botanical Name:  Citrus aurantium subspecies amara
Country of Origin:  Brazil
Plant part used :  the peel of the almost ripe fruit
Method of extraction: Cold pressed

Cold pressed Bitter Orange oil is mobile liquid of dark yellow 
to olive-yellow or pale brownish yellow color. The odor is very
peculiar, fresh and yet 'bitter' in the sense of 'dry,' but with a rich
and lasting, sweet undertone.
