Happy Valentine's Day ~
Its that time of year, every February conjures up visions of luscious candy, beautiful flowers and gifts which are exchanged between loved ones. A month of 'romance'.

St. Valentine's Day, with its roots in the ancient fertility rites of the Lupercalia, in the worship of Juno, and in the love of Cupid for Psyche, it is the celebration of the heart .. (and one of my very favorite holidays).

The heart is the seat of the fourth chakra which is the connecting link between the lower triad of the chakras of the physical manifestation and the upper triad of the chakras of psychic and spiritual existence.

The chakras open in sequence ~ meaning the upper triad of chakras cannot begin to open until the heart chakra opens.

So, this is the day of the heart, this is midpoint in February. Its a time to take this opportunity to express your love and open your heart chakra a little more.

I love to light pink candles, make a light blend of rose oil. Lighting the candles, visualize myself enveloped in a luminous pink cloud while inhaling the luscious and sacred scent of rose .. .. it is also, a perfect day to 'love yourself' and 'honor yourself'.
