* U.S. consumers are more health conscious than
ever before. They want to feel better, live longer and
look younger.
* Grapefruit aroma affects age perception ~
A new study from the Smell & Taste Treatment &
Research Foundation found that the scent of
grapefruit has a rejuvenating effect on the
perception of age!
Subjects looked at photographs of models and
guessed their age, while wearing various scented
masks.
While the cucumber- and grape-scented masks had
no significant effect, the pink grapefruit odor caused
subjects to estimate models to be three years
younger when compared to estimations with the
unscented placebo mask.
Though we are having Indian Summer here in New
York, the cool breezes of Autumn sneak in now and
again, so we know its just around the corner.. the
glorious colors of the leaves.. Mother Nature in her
beautiful glory.
Mother Nature is a tough Lady, as we can see by
devastation of hurricane Katrina. Our prayers are with
all those that have lost loved ones.
School has started, its getting dark earlier these
days, putting the garden into the 'winter mode,'
beautiful mum flowers, just blessed to be alive and
healthy.
