What is a CO2 Extract??

CO2-extraction, is a modern technology for production of lipophilic plant extracts. Supercritical CO2-extraction is very gentle and leaves no solvent residues.

The method separates from plant materials bioactive substances such as antioxidants, natural flavours, essential oils and special fatty oils.

CO2-extracts are used as cosmetics ingredients, in perfumes, food and food supplements and in aromatherapy. CO2-extracts are sterile and need no preservation.

The highly concentrated supercritical extracts unfold their effects already in low dosages for example as cosmetics ingredients or as bioactive substances in food supplements.

Rosemary Antioxidants are used in food and food supplements as well as multifunctional natural extracts with antioxidative, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity in cosmetics products.

Herb and spice supercritical extracts are versatile and safe ingredients for premium food, health food, high quality food supplements and natural cosmetics.

Supercritical extracts:

CO2-Extraction Technology

Carbon dioxide, the gas that gives all the freshness to sparkling drinks is the new and Generally Recognized As Save (GRAS) – approved solvent for lipophilic molecules.
